Negative Mercury
Warnings/Notice
----------------------------------------------
Loading takes about 10-20 seconds.
This game is loud, and you might want to lower your volume before the boot screen disappears.
Playing All is not suggested. Inevitable frame drops will occur, and the game will get incredibly loud quick.
Controls/Help
----------------------------------------------
To play a clip, simply click on it. You can stop that clip by pressing on it again.
When a clip is playing, hold and drag your mouse left and/or right to see a red bar representing the volume.
When a clip isn't playing, holding down on the clip will set it to be played in a delayed amount of desired seconds (limited to 10). You can then choose to play the set clip by pressing it, or pressing the "Play Set" button on the top left corner to play multiple set clips at once.
Info
----------------------------------------------
Negative Mercury is a fan made project that focuses on the revival of Death Grip's Retrograde flash game with some additional functions.
Retrograde is an interactive installation created by Death Grips circa The Money Store. The user is presented with a 'death grid' full of tiny, looping quick shots of the band in performance, which they can activate in any pattern they choose to create their own wall of sound.
All of the individual Retrograde clips can be found on the YouTube channel mercury00retrograde.
Questions you might ask
----------------------------------------------
Are all the clips in their original spots?
Kinda... Most of them are, but I know there are some that aren't correct. It was difficult to pinpoint the Blue Clips, and some clip thumbnails didn't seem to show in the Original Retrograde.
There seems to be copies of some clips. Is this a mistake?
Oddly enough, there are some clips that are copies. I extracted the clips from the deathgripsarchive, and checked the Mercury Retrograde channel for validation.
Why did you do this?
Money Store Retrograde is gone, and can't ever be played. There are no videos, besides images, forums, and talk about it's existence. I was curious what they meant by creating your own sounds with these clips, and I wanted to make a project dedicated to Death Grips.
Do the clips connect to each other?
Before I even worked on the project, I tried to connect 1 & 2 together. There doesn't seem to be a correlation.
Any plans for other Death Grip Applications?
I have ideas. It'll come eventually.
